Trend Report : White & Nude

Sunday, May 1, 2016

Lately I have found myself in a complete obsession with simplicity and everything minimal.

That means white and nude with a pop of detail.

I can’t express how much I love a good, clean outfit. In Denmark the Scandinavian vibe is everywhere and with the changes in me (after moving here), so changed my style. In this post I wanted to share my latest finds with you and really, really rad online stores. My favourite one being The LOÉIL. And honestly, this is why I love blogging. It gives the opportunity to share amazing things with you guys.

Budget friendly trend

Gucci fur alternative
With the hype that has been in the air about these shoes, I couldn’t be more excited to publish this post. I have decided to start these “Trends for Less” series on my blog and share the best budget friendly items I have come across.
I like to think of myself as money-smart and even though I don’t necessarily approve of building a whole wardrobe with knock-offs, with seasonal pieces like these slippers, I couldn’t imagine myself investing in something that will be well-forgotten the next season.
So with that being said, I hope you are just as excited as I am about this find and if you’re not looking for something so similar to the original fur slipper, here is a really cool alternative to the furry shoe:

Goodiebox March 2016

Today I would like to share yet another box review with you, but this time (even though I say it every month) it truly is the best box so far. 6 full-sized products in a glamorous black box that this month was bigger in size due to the products it was guarding. The value for this box is way over the top and I am so happy to be part of this superb service!

Let’s have a look at the top 6 Danish Beauty Awards products nominations for Goodieboxprisen 2016!

I have never been a fan of sunbathing as well as tanning salons. I went to one couple of years ago but didn’t enjoy it at all as the thought of what it does to my skin never left my mind. Trying self-tanners has been on my to-do list for a while, but while I am trying to figure which one to opt for I was super excited to try this The Body Shop bronzing mist. And even though the title says ‘leg mist’, don’t be afraid to spritz it on any other area that you would like to see in a nice glowing bronze.

I can’t wait to try this out when I have already tanned a bit since this product gives such a beautiful glow. I am not quite sure how it will go together with swimming sessions though, since it does wash off in shower. Probably it is a good idea to wear this to music festivals and when going in water is not planned. ?

Be aware that this product can get all over the place so make sure to use it in the bathroom (best – shower) and for better application/tan-free hands use a tanning glove. I have listed some affordable ones below.

Retail price is 185 DKK for 100ml

I got so excited when I saw this product in the box. It is the perfect multifunctional cream. As a moisturiser for day time, protective night cream or intensive moisture mask.

The reasons why this product is my ultimate favourite go on. It has a pump dispenser which is not only super convenient, but hygienic as well. It’s enough with two little pea sized pumps of product to spread it all over the face and it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling, which I love. Really, really great product and my skin feels so soft every time I use it.

This product is produced in Denmark and contains no dyes, parabens, mineral oils or silicone. I have become really cautions of what kind of products I use and what is on the ingredient list and seeing more and more natural products hitting the market shelves gives me hope for a better future in the skincare industry.

Everybody knows how important it is to remove make-up at the end of the day and there are so many different products out there to do so.

After using the Karmameju konjac sponge which was my first introduction to this brand, I was excited to see this micellar water in this months box.

After using it for a while, I can honestly say that it removes make-up absolutely effortlessly, fast and leaves my skin feeling fresh and treated. It is a 3-in-1 cleanser that removes make-up, tones and moisturizes skin. A pretty good deal if you ask me!

It contains ingredients like organic aloe vera, floral water of orange(which it smells like) and desert plant Jericho rose.

Since it doesn’t need to be removed with water afterwards, this might be the perfect make-up remover on the go and for the festival season. I’m not so comfortable with not washing it off though, so unless I am in a place without water supply, I will keep my routine as it is.

Good news for all my vegan readers! There is another superb product for you to try that is 100% vegan, smells amazing and I can’t get enough of.

Maria Nila is a swedish brand and makes great hair care products, one of which I got in the Goodiebox. The luminous colour hair mask not only has cute, pink packaging but leaves hair smelling (like pomegranate), feeling and looking beautiful.

I let it sit in damp, washed hair for 3-5 min before washing it out and I believe that I am not the only one who just loooves the feeling of washing out hair masks. It feels so soft and completely detangled. Definitely can recommend this product for coloured or natural hair.

Yes, yes, yes! I’m so excited to review this. Ever since Maybelline released their tinted brow gels I have been wanting to try one and then this little beauty appeared on my doorstep in the Goodiebox. It is the Gosh Copenhagen brow gel in brown and has become my favourite item to finish the make-up session.

I usually use it on top of my Anastasia dipbrow for perfect finish, but if you don’t feel like filling your brows, just using this gel will be enough. I do that on my lazy make-up free days. ?

Retail price is 79,95 DKK

This product left me on a so-so kind of feeling. I like the packaging, but other than that it is not something I would see myself reaching for, but that is only because it really is that kind of a product that you use when really need to. In this case – dry skin. It is extremely natural – no perfume, hormones. It has oily texture when in contact with hands and works wonders with insect bites, chapped lips, cuticles and so on. It is produced in Denmark and I see why this product should be kept at the back of the bag for first-aid situations.

Retail price is 159 DKK for 75ml

See you next month,!
